Day 6 - Trust Walk

God Gives Us Wisdom Day 6: I trust You, Lord. No weapon formed against me shall prosper. Isaiah 54:17

For centuries, demonic influences have plotted against the people of God. From the beginning of time, the woman God gave Adam (that's what he referred to her as after he sinned - "the woman you gave me..." like she was nothing all of a sudden. See Genesis 3:13) was influenced to eat of the tree God instructed Adam not to eat of. She then influenced Adam. Be careful who you allow to influence you!

But the plots against you are not always committed by unseen demonic beings. Most often, they are committed by people. People who are under the influence of these demonic presences.

A wife was being beaten by her husband. She got away, and upon her return, her husband, while holding a gun in her face, demanded that she obey him or get out. She in turn responded "I will do what my Lord and Savior commands me to do." After hearing this, he took a step back. He attempted to command her again, and she replied the same: "I will do what my Lord and Savior commands me to do." He took another step back and commanded her yet again. She never changed her stance and repeated her reply again: "I will do what my Lord and Savior commands me to do." The husband turned away and left her alone.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7 KJV

Not only had the weapon formed against her in the spirit realm, it was staring right at her in the physical. Knowing the Word of God to be true, she recognized not only the attack, but the attacker: the demonic kingdom. She never once addressed her husband at this time because he was merely a host being used. Rather, she stood on the Word and continued to resist the devil with her affirmation. She trusted that God would not allow harm to come to her as long as she stood on His promises.

This woman is every one of us. We have to learn that the Word in Isaiah 54:17 never said the weapons wouldn't form. They will form, every minute of your life, but can you learn to trust that it won't prosper. It won't cause you any harm. It won't be successful! It won't work! It won't prosper!!

So today, start recognizing that the people who are out to do you no good are only hosts of evil influences. It's not them. Love them anyway. Rebuke their evil influence. Trust Your God. Their plots will not prosper.

Reassured,

Keiyia JOYet George
