Day 15 - Trust Walk

Trust Walk Day 15:  I trust You, Lord.  Nothing is too hard for you.  Matthew 1:26

Sometimes you are faced with seemingly impossible situations.  Maybe it’s a family member that’s in a difficult situation, or a sickness that has ripped nearly all the life out of a friend.  These situations try to leave you tossing and turning through the night.  There is no way out it seems; nowhere to turn.  You are on your own…but are you really?

You see, you weren’t put on this earth to battle anything alone.  Your Father promises that if you abide in him, and he in you, you will bear fruit.  No branch can bear fruit without the vine, and Jesus is the true vine.  Without Him, we cannot bear (John 15:4-5 KJV).  I guess you can say, with Him we can do all things.

But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. Matthew 1:26 KJV

If you stay with Him, He will stay with you.  This is a promise Moses assured the Israelites and Joshua in Deuteronomy 31: He will never leave you nor forsake you. He was with the Israelites until the left Him.  Once they left Him, as He told Moses and Joshua, He was going to leave them.  You see, where the spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (2 Corinthians 3:17).  One cannot be free and yet be bound by sin.  If sin enslaves you, you are no longer with the Spirit.

When you depend on man for answers or to make a way, the situation you face will leave you feeling defeated and inflated, tired and bogged down.  Man is not your creator.  Man does not know you inside out.  Man is not your source.   Your help comes from the Lord (Psalm 121:2).

Can you try something?  Take out your journal.  Write today’s date.  Write down an issue that has you feeling bogged down. Now, pray and release it to God.  Ask Him to have His way and allow His will to be done.  Ask that He renew your mind so that you can think and see clearly.  Without doubting, without trying to help Him, give it up.  A short period of time may pass, or a longer one, but no matter what you do, for this situation, don’t pick it back up for nothing.  Just this once, don’t touch it!

When you see your issue dissolve, go back to your journal and record the outcome.  Now that you have documented this, keep jotting down your concerns, reading the outcome of the old ones, and record the new testimonies.  Before you know it, you will have a book full of testimonies that you can share to encourage others.  But more importantly, your trust in God will be HUGE!   Remember, continuously trusting God takes practice and this exercise, overtime, will make you a pro!

Your first breakthrough will not be your last one.  It’s a promise.  Nothing is impossible God.  Just believe He has it and leave it to Him.  He won’t let you down.

Perfecting it,

Keiyia JOYet George
